Abstract

According to one embodiment, a sensor includes an element portion including a first element, and a controller. The first element includes a first magnetic element including a first magnetic layer and a first opposing magnetic layer, and a first conductive member including a first conductive portion and a first other conductive portion. A second direction from the first other conductive portion to the first conductive portion crosses a first direction from the first magnetic layer to the first opposing magnetic layer. The controller includes a first circuit electrically connected to the first conductive portion and the first other conductive portion, and configured to supply a first current including an AC component to the first conductive member. A local maximum value of the first current is of the first polarity. A local minimum value of the first current is of the first polarity or
