A trench closing assembly () for a row unit () of an agricultural planter, comprising a main frame () and a frame member () pivotally supported from the main frame, a pair of closing wheels () each rotatably supported by the frame member, a mounting arm () pivotally mounted to said frame member and supporting a press wheel () rearward of said closing wheels, including a scraper () adjacent to an inner side of said press wheel.
