Abstract

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a resource for a joint uplink transmission comprising a sounding reference signal and a scheduling request. The UE may receive a grant of a set of resources for an uplink data transmission to a base station. The UE may perform the joint uplink transmission comprising the sounding reference signal and the scheduling request using the resource for the joint uplink transmission in connection with performing the uplink data transmission using the set of resources for the uplink.
