Abstract
A vehicle selects a parking position when a state in which a P range button () is operated overlaps a state in which an N range button () is operated. Thereafter, the vehicle maintains the parking position when the operation of P range button () is released and switched to the state in which N range button () is operated. This allows the vehicle to suppress the selection of a shift position that is different from the intention of the driver.
