New iridium catalysts for enantioselective hydrogenation of 4-substituted 1,2-dihydroquinolines The invention relates to a process for preparing optically active 4-substituted 1,2,3,4-tetra hydroquinolines (la, lb) comprising enantioselective hydrogenation of the corresponding 4-substituted 1,2-dihydroquinolines in presence of a chiral iridium (P,N)-ligand catalyst.
