Abstract

A radiation-curable ink jet composition used in an ink jet printing apparatus including an ink jet head using a material with an SP value of 7.0 (J/cm)to 8.0 (J/cm)in a flow path is provided. The radiation-curable ink jet composition contains polymerizable monomers A including at least one polymerizable monomer B with an SP value of 7.0 (J/cm)or less or 8.0 (J/cm)or more and at least one polymerizable monomer C with an SP value of more than 7.0 (J/cm)to less than 8.0 (J/cm). The amount of the at least one polymerizable monomer B is 20% by mass or more relative to the total mass of the ink jet composition, and the amount of the at least one polymerizable monomer C is 22.5% by mass or less relative to the total mass of the ink jet composition.
