Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an ophthalmic lens for preventing progression of myopia and to spectacles with the ophthalmic lens. At least one surface of the ophthalmic lens is defined by a superposition of a base sag profile and a perturbation sag profile, and the perturbation sag profile is defined as a product of a first subfunction for defining a perturbation characteristic sag and a weighting function for weighting the first subfunction. As a result, the visual fatigue caused by ghosting to myopic patients can be avoided or significantly reduced while preventing or controlling the progression of myopia, thereby effectively improving the wearing visual experience of myopic patients.
