Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may obtain forward error correction (FEC) information associated with an application data unit (ADU). The UE may adjust a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) characteristic, a radio link control (RLC) characteristic, or a physical layer hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) characteristic for transmitting a packet associated with the ADU based at least in part on the FEC information.
