Abstract
A pentamer comprising the following: R and R″ are residues of at least one diol selected from 2,2,4,4-tetramethylcyclobutane-1,3-diol, 1,2-cyclohexanedimethanol, 1,3-cyclohexanedimethanol, 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol, hydroxypivalyl hydroxypivalate, isosorbide, 1,4-di-(hydroxyethoxy)-benzene, 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxycyclohexyl)-propane, 2,4-dihydroxy-1,1,3,3-tetramethyl-cyclobutane, 2,2-bis-(3-hydroxyethoxyphenyl)-propane, or 2,2-bis-(4-hydroxypropoxyphenyl)-propane; and R and R″ are not the same; and R' comprises residues of at least one diacid or diester.
