Abstract

A composition having a pH in a range of 1 to 6, containing hydrogen peroxide, and one or more compounds selected from orthodiphenols, imidazolidin-2,4-diones, and salts thereof. The orthodiphenols have the following general structure: where R, R, and Rare independently selected from H, OH, halogen, C-Clinear or branched alkyl or alkenyl, O—X, NO, COOH, SOH, aryl, and heteroaryl, and X is a C-Clinear or branched alkyl. The imidazolidin-2,4-diones have the following general structure: where R, R, and Rare independently selected from H, OH, halogen, C-Clinear or branched alkyl or alkenyl, O—X, COOH, phenyl, diphenyl, ureyl, and X is a C-Clinear or branched alkyl.
