Abstract

A method for manufacturing a sensor for detecting an analyte in a body fluid is disclosed. In the inventive method a membrane layer is provided, and at least one first electrically conductive material is directly or indirectly deposited onto the membrane layer. At least one electrically insulating material is directly or indirectly deposited onto the at least one membrane layer and the at least one first electrically conductive material, and at least one second electrically conductive material is deposited directly or indirectly onto the electrically insulating material. An associated sensor is also disclosed.
