Abstract
A system for canceling signal source noise when measuring residual noise of a DUT includes a signal source for generating an RF signal having signal source noise; a signal splitter for dividing the RF signal into first and second RF signals in first and second paths, the first path including the DUT which outputs a DUT signal in response to the first RF signal; a first receiver for receiving the DUT and second RF signals, compensating for a delay difference and eliminating the signal source noise to output a delay compensated first signal without the signal source noise; a second receiver receiving the DUT and second RF signals, compensating for a delay difference and eliminating the signal source noise to output a delay compensated second signal without the signal source noise; and a processor for performing cross-correlation of the delay compensated first and second signals for measuring the residual noise.
