Abstract
An apparatus, including a processor, and a distributed ledger and Blockchain technology system. The distributed ledger and Blockchain technology system processes information regarding an outcome of a bet or a lottery drawing on or for the sporting event, the gaming activity, the gambling activity, or the lottery drawing, determines if the bet or the lottery ticket is a winning or losing bet or a winning or losing lottery ticket, and processes information regarding or for effectuating a settlement or a payment, or for withholding a settlement, for or regarding the bet or the lottery ticket. The apparatus generates a bet confirmation message or a lottery ticket purchase confirmation message and transmits the bet confirmation message or the lottery ticket purchase information to the user communication device or to a second user communication device.
