Abstract
A drive axle () and a motor vehicle having the drive axle () are proposed. The drive axle () includes an axle body () in which at least one axle shaft () extends. The drive axle () has at least one wheel carrier (), which is arranged on a wheel-side end () of the axle body (), and at least one steering assembly (). The drive axle () is preferably in the form of a rigid axle and the axle body () has a receiving structure () for accommodating a drive unit (), and the steering assembly () is directly connected to the axle body ().
