Abstract
A medical device that cuts an object in a body lumen includes: a drive shaft; a shaft portion connected to the drive shaft; a cutting portion connected to the shaft portion; and first and second bearings that rotatably support the shaft portion. The first bearing has a ring shape, the second bearing has a ring shape and is spaced from a proximal side of the first bearing. The shaft portion includes a first sliding portion slidably supported by the first bearing, a second sliding portion slidably supported by the second bearing, and an intermediate portion between the first and second sliding portions.
