Abstract

A translucent photovoltaic (PV) device comprising a semi-transparent substrateand at least one translucent photovoltaic (PV) cellthe PV cellcomprising a stackof layers disposed on the substratethe stackcomprising: a front electrode layera back electrode layerand a perovskite photoactive layerbetween the anode layer and the cathode layer. The back electrode layercomprises carbon, wherein the stackof layers comprises laser-made light-transmissive aperturesextending through at least the back electrode layerand the perovskite photoactive layerwherein the light-transmissive aperturesare fully surrounded by the layer stacklayers that contribute to the power conversion.
