Abstract

A method, performed by a User Equipment (UE) for a Configured Grant (CG) configuration, includes receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) release message from a cell of a Network (NW) while the UE is in an RRC_CONNECTED state, the RRC release message including the CG configuration; entering an RRC_INACTIVE state from the RRC_CONNECTED state in response to receiving the RRC release message; receiving an RRC message from the cell while the UE is in the RRC_INACTIVE state; and determining whether to release the CG configuration based on the RRC message.
