Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may configure one or more radio frequency (RF) chains of the UE to communicate using a second radio access technology (RAT) for a length of time. The UE may identify that the length of time satisfies a threshold. The UE may configure the one or more RF chains to the first RAT. The UE may initiate a beam measurement on the first RAT in a number of consecutive measurement occasions based at least in part on the length of time satisfying the threshold.
