Abstract

A light emitting diode includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and at least one functional layer disposed between the first electrode and containing a condensed polycyclic compound represented by Formula 1. The first electrode and the second electrode each independently contain at least one selected from Ag, Mg, Cu, Al, Pt, Pd, Au, Ni, Nd, Ir, Cr, Li, Ca, LiF, Mo, Ti, W, In, Sn, and Zn, compounds selected thereof, and mixtures thereof.
