Fluorine-free small molecule additives of structure where Xand Xare independently hydrocarbyl or heterohydrocarbyl; and Qand Qare independently —Si—(O—Si(CH))or —(O—Si(CH))—O—Si(CH)and where n is an integer from 0 to 30, inclusive for use in solid-state formulations, e.g., thermoplastic articles, for use in low hysteresis water repellent applications.
