Abstract

A method for a backoff process for uplink (UL) random access is provided. The method may include one or more of receiving, by a station (STA) eligible to participate in a UL MU transmission, a UL trigger frame indicating that one or more anonymous users are eligible to participate in the UL multiuser (MU) transmission, randomly selecting, by the STA, one or more resource units (RUs), and transmitting, by the STA, the UL MU transmission.
