Abstract
A method of controlling an information processing apparatus includes receiving a first change operation for changing, from a first document size to a second, a size corresponding to an area in which an object can be laid out and is displayed on an interface along with a font size change scale bar. With the first operation, changing a settable range of the document font size, based on the second document size corresponding to the first operation, determining an upper limit of the settable range based on a reference value corresponding to a length of a side of the second document, and updating the font size change scale according to the upper limit. With a second change operation for changing the font size of the object laid out in the predetermined area to values settable on the scale bar, the scale bar is updated, changing the font size of the object.
