Abstract
Techniques described herein relate to a method for enhancing backup and recovery of a VM, including receiving, in connection with a backup operation, a backup-ready metadata database and a backup image of the VM at a backup storage. The method also includes logically splitting, using the backup-ready metadata database, the backup image into multiple logical portions. The method further includes performing a cyber recovery operation on one of the logical portions. In addition, the method includes performing an action from an action set in response to the cyber recovery operation.
