Abstract
A method for inhibiting proliferation of cancer cells includes contacting the cancer cells with a cytotoxic effective amount of an anticancer compound of where R1 to R8 are each independently selected from a group consisting of a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, and an optionally substituted alkyl. The anticancer compound exhibits a growth inhibition percentage of about 90%.
