Abstract

An apparatus comprising a communication circuit that includes a first section for communication conforming to a first protocol, a second section for communication conforming to a second protocol, a shared circuit shared between the first section and the second section is disclosed, a first control unit configured to control communication conforming to the first protocol, and a second communication control unit configured to control communication conforming to the second protocol. If an abnormality in the communication circuit is determined, the first control unit resets the first section after confirming that communication conforming to the second protocol is not being performed.
