Abstract
A system for detecting a cover sound profile, the cover sound profile including at least one sound sample produced from sound diffracted by a cover. The system includes a device comprising a housing and at least one speaker driver, at least on microphone, and at least one processor. The device is configured to selectively couple the cover via the housing and produce a sound via the at least one speaker driver. The at least one microphone configured to detect the sound and produce an electrical signal from the detected sound. The at least one processor is configured to receive the electrical signal determine, using machine learning, that the spectrogram meets or surpasses a similarity threshold to the sound cover profile, and change at least one characteristic of the device based on an adjustment operation associated with the determined cover sound profile.
