Abstract
A method is performed by a wireless device functioning as a beamformer station (STA) in a wireless network to perform a sounding procedure. The method includes wirelessly transmitting a null data packet (NDP) announcement frame in a first frequency band, the NDP announcement frame including a sounding dialog token field where bits Band Bof the sounding dialog token field are set to binary '1' to indicate the NDP announcement frame should be processed as an extremely high throughput (EHT) NDP announcement frame, and wirelessly transmitting an NDP frame in a second frequency band.
