A smoothing circuitfor an inverter includes a parallel flat plate, a plurality of capacitorsarranged in a matrix and mounted on the parallel flat plate, and a thermal conductive sheetinterposed between the parallel flat plateand a housingin an area overlapping a mounting areaof the plurality of capacitorswhen viewed along a normal direction of the parallel flat plate. The plurality of capacitorsare arranged in such a manner that adjacent terminalsof adjacent capacitorshave a same polarity in a row direction and a column direction.
