Abstract
A method and system for detecting forces and moments acting on a vehicle wheel, wherein an outer ring of a wheel hub unit has a plurality of strain sensors configured to generate first signals (Ds) proportional to mechanical stresses on the outer ring and a temperature sensor generating a second signal (Ds). Further, the detection system comprises a second processing unit configured to process third signals (Dv) corresponding to selected vehicle state parameters; and a third processing unit that receives the third signals and the pseudo-sinusoidal signal and calculates said forces and moments on the vehicle wheel.
