Abstract

The invention relates to a method () for charging an intermediate circuit capacitor () in a high-voltage network (). The high-voltage network can be connected to a power source () by means of at least one switch () and is coupled to a low-voltage network () by means of a DC voltage converter (). The method comprises the steps: determining () a first voltage (U) across the power source (); determining () a second voltage (U) across the intermediate circuit capacitor (); determining () a first difference (D) between the first voltage (U) and the second voltage (U); switching () the DC voltage converter () to the boost converter operating mode to charge the intermediate circuit capacitor () according to the determined first difference (D).
