Abstract
Provided is a method for whitening a skin of a subject administrating a whitening composition that includes a compound including a structural unit represented by Chemical Formula A and including at least one hydroxyl group and at least one carboxyl group as an active ingredient, to the subject. In Chemical Formula 1, each substituent is as defined in the specification.
