A recombinant strain ofwas made by transforming wild typewith a pGEM-7Zf (+) plasmid containing the photolyase gene (phrA) via electroporation. The recombinant strain was designated B481-ViAnSa and overexpressed the phrA gene to result in enhanced UV tolerance compared to wild type
