Abstract

A rotary compressorincludes a drive shafthaving an eccentric shaft, a pistonfitted onto the eccentric shaft, a cylinderthat receives the eccentrically rotating piston, an upper end plateand a lower end platethat close the upper and lower opening surfaces of the cylinder, a vanethat divides a space formed by the cylinder, the piston, the upper end plate, and the lower end plateinto a suction chamberand a compression chamber, a discharge spacethat is formed by causing the coverto close a recessed portionobtained by recessing a surface of either the upper end plateor the lower end plateon the opposite side to the cylinderand where discharge gas flows in from the compression chamberand directly flows out to the outside of the compressor, and spatial volume of the discharge spacehaving 10 times enclosed volume of the cylinder, thereby reducing noise and vibration due to discharge pulsation as well as improving efficiency and reliability and reducing cost.
