Abstract
A female electrical contact for receiving a male electrical contact is provided. The female electrical contact includes at least one wire assembly for receiving a pin of the male electrical contact, wherein each wire assembly includes a conductive, substantially cylindrical wire-carrier defining an inner part and having a length L along a longitudinal axis, and a plurality of conductive wires configured to contact the pin of the male electrical contact. The female electrical contact further includes a conductive socket configured to receive the at least one wire assembly, and a wiring extremity for connection of the female electrical contact to an electrical cable, wherein the socket and wiring extremity are arranged at opposing ends of the female electrical contact.
