Abstract
A system () for generating hydrogen gas comprises a reaction vessel () containing an aqueous solution () and a cathode () and an anode () each positioned at least partly in the reaction vessel (). The system () comprises first and second ultrasonic transducers (-) which emit ultrasonic waves in the direction of the cathode () and the anode () respectively. Each ultrasonic transducer (-) is driven by a respective transducer driver () to optimise the operation of the system () for generating hydrogen gas by sonoelectrolysis.
