Abstract
Provided is a computer-implemented method for determining a path of movement of a terminal device. The method includes (i) obtaining a set of measurements and/or parameters relating to the terminal device and/or a communication network in which the terminal device is operating, wherein respective measurements and/or respective parameters in the received set were obtained as the terminal device traversed a path of movement through a plurality of areas; (ii) using the obtained set to identify a plurality of candidate areas in which the terminal device may have been located as the terminal device traversed the path of movement; (iii) using the obtained set to determine respective transition metrics for pairs of the candidate areas; (iv) determining respective path metrics for a plurality of candidate paths; and (v) determining the path of movement traversed by the terminal device according to the determined path metrics.
