Abstract
Provided is an inverter device that detects abnormalities of a power device of the inverter device, and of a gate drive to be able to safely control the inverter device. The inverter device includes a gate voltage detection unitthat detects a gate voltage of the power device, and a drain voltage detection unitthat detects a drain voltage. A microcontrollercompares a gate drive signalwith a gate voltage detection signalto make a diagnosis and compares the gate drive signalwith a drain voltage detection signalto make a diagnosis, thereby making a diagnosis and detection of the gate voltage on normal. In addition, by generating a gate drive signal to the power device, from a gate voltage detection signal from a counter power device, a dead time is reduced.
