Abstract

Methods may involve sending identification of a product to an additive manufacturer. Confirmation from the additive manufacturer of availability may be received. Approval of a respective additive manufacturer may be confirmed. Discrete packets of operational parameters to enable an additive manufacturing device to manufacture respective portions of the product may be generated. Respective packets of operational parameters may be encrypted and sent to a network-connected additive manufacturing device. The respective packets may be sent only after confirmation that a previous packet is complete and has been deleted. A time from completion of the previous packet may be sufficient to ensure that manufacturing of another portion of the product may begin without interruption in an additive manufacturing process. During at least some stages, a blockchain may be updated to associate data representative of workflows for the product with an encrypted, secure identifier utilizing a secure, distributed transaction ledger.
