Abstract
Techniques and a system for a two-way compliance service that enables users to retain information in accordance with a data policy. The system turns on compliance on and notifies clients within a network of a compliance configuration. The system causes a user device to upload an attestation that is signed by a key associated with the user. Once the user device uploads the attestation, key requests for the user return keys for both the user and a compliance bot as part of the attestation, which a sender validates with a public key. The attestation provides that messages being sent to the user need to be copied to the compliance bot.
