Abstract

There is provided a computer-implemented method for generating an optimized hairstyle guide for use with a hair clipper. The method comprises acquiring () a plurality of reference points for mapping a hairstyle onto the head of a subject, receiving () a first user input for adjusting at least one of the relative position and the hair length value of a selected reference point, adjusting (), based on the first user input and one or more predetermined rules, at least one of the relative position and the hair length value of one or more non-selected reference points, and generating () an optimized hairstyle guide for mapping the hairstyle.
