Abstract

A protective circuit (A) includes a protective element (A), a plurality of secondary battery cells (), (), . . . , an external positive electrode terminal () and an external negative electrode terminal (), an auxiliary power supply (), a first control device (), and a switch (). The protective element (A) has a first fusible conductor () of which both ends are connected to a first terminal () and a second terminal (), and a heat generator () installed on a first energizing path (P) between a third terminal () and a fourth terminal (). The auxiliary power supply () is provided electrically independently of the plurality of secondary battery cells (), (), . . . . In this protective circuit (A), the switch () is switched to energization by a signal from the first control device (), the heat generator () of the protective element (A) generates heat, and the first fusible conductor () is fused to cut off a portion between the plurality of secondary battery cells (), (), . . . and the external negative electrode terminal (b).
