Abstract

A charging device () includes: a case () to which a battery pack is detachably attached; a charging circuit portion that charges the battery pack; a fan () for cooling; a first opening portion () for intake; and a second opening portion () for exhaust. An air path from the fan () to the second opening portion () is connected by an air path forming portion () having a long and curved passage length. The air path forming portion () narrows down at a point in the middle to achieve a positional relationship in which the fan () cannot be seen from the second opening portion (), thereby making it difficult for operating noise of the fan () to leak to the outside. The air path forming portion () is formed using a wall surface of the case (), an outer air-guiding wall (), and an inner air-guiding wall ().
