Abstract
Provided are compositions and methods based in part on the discovery thatsecreted antigen A (SagA)-expressing bacteria are protective against enteric infections and enhances immune checkpoint inhibitor efficacy against cancer. Bacteria that express SagA or heterologous SagA, or orthologs thereof, are provided, and are included as nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, and probiotic formulations, as well as components of food products, including dairy products.
