Abstract

The present invention relates to an aqueous composition comprising in the aqueous phase microcapsules which comprise a shell and a core, where the core contains a pesticide; and a codispersant of the formula R—X, in which R has 6 to 10 carbon atoms and is alkyl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl; X is —O—POH, —COH, —O—SOH, —SOH, or salts thereof. The invention further relates to a method of preparing the composition by synthesizing the microcapsules in the aqueous phase in the presence of the codispersant; and to a method of controlling phytopathogenic fungi and/or undesired plant growth and/or undesired insect or mite attack and/or for regulating the growth of plants, wherein the composition is allowed to act on the respective pests, their environment or the crop plants to be protected from the respective pest, on the soil and/or on undesired plants and/or on the crop plants and/or on their environment.
