Abstract

Methods for routing messages to a destination are provided. The method includes determining a destination carrier for a destination telephone number (TN) of a destination associated with an end user. One or more source attributes are determined. A source attribute is associated with initiation of a message from a sender. Each of the one or more source attributes is categorized into one or more message classes associated with the sender. A message routing policy is determined for the message based on the determined destination carrier and the one or more message classes associated with the sender. The message is routed according to the message routing policy.
