Abstract

The present invention primarily relates to a fatty acid ester or mixture of two or more fatty acid esters or mixture comprising one or more fatty acid esters, wherein the fatty acid ester or one, two, three or more, preferably all, of the fatty acid ester(s) is/are selected from the group consisting of 3-hydroxypropyl caprylate, glyceryl monocaprylate, 3-hydroxypropyl undecylenate and glyceryl monoundecylenate, for use in the treatment of an excess ofon the skin surface of mammals, preferably of humans. The present invention further relates to particular mixtures or products, and to the cosmetic, non-therapeutic use of fatty acid esters or of mixtures or products comprising fatty acid esters as defined herein to reduce the amount ofon the skin surface of mammals, preferably of humans.
