Abstract
A method is disclosed that includes the step of: responsive to determining, based on input data, that a gateway system is receiving power from a power source of a mobile asset and the mobile asset is not in-use, transitioning the gateway system from a first mode to a second mode, wherein transitioning comprises turning on a functionality of the gateway system that is turned off when the gateway system is operating in the first mode.
