Abstract

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device, including: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of allocating a port for receiving a request to access a resource of a second device, wherein the second device has a non-routable network address, wherein the device is on a first network, wherein the second device is on a third network, and wherein the first network and the third network are communicatively coupled by the second network; opening a second connection to a network element on the second network responsive to receiving a first connection; sending a first message to the network element to create a meeting with the resource; and sending a Geocast message requesting that the second device create a third connection that enables access to the resource, wherein the Geocast message identifies a geographic area in which the second device is physically located.
