Abstract
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying criteria pertaining to at least one resource in a network, wherein the criteria include first criteria that specifies at least one service that is eligible to access the at least one resource as part of a restoration path, and based on the identifying, distributing the criteria to a node of the network that manages the access to the at least one resource by services provisioned by the network, the services including the at least one service. Other embodiments are disclosed.
