Abstract

Systems and methods are provided for interpreting traffic information for a vehicle. Sensor data is collected from at least one first sensor device of the vehicle. At least one relevant object is determined within the sensor data based on a window defined by a plurality of ranges and associated elevations, wherein the plurality of ranges and associated elevations are defined relative to the at least one first sensor device. A confidence score of the at least one relevant object is determined based on an identification of at least one pattern of activity of other objects associated with an intersection. A subset of sensor data is determined from at least one second sensor of the vehicle based on the confidence score of the relevant object. Traffic device data for use in controlling the vehicle is generated based on an evaluation of the subset of sensor data.
